The K1000-K3000 is an axial-flow, single-stage, multifunctional pilot-operated regulator giving accurate and stable pressure control with high speed responses. It's usage varies from (networks) to (individual clients) and includes the following functions:

A novel design allows a turbine meter or rotary piston meter to be mounted directly onto the outlet flange of the regulating unit, while retaining full meter accuracy. The design of the K1000-K3000 multifunctional regulating unit is based on a Gas de France patent and has since been redesigned and innovated by the Emerson Process Management Regulator Division engineering group to include the new slam-shut technology OS2 and the new Francel Piloting System. The K1000-K3000 is equipped with a flow straghtener which allows it to be classified in the category of silent or low noise regulators.
The K1000 or K3000 are in confirmity with the Pressure Equipment Directive PED 97/23/EC
and are classified in category IV.

Fluid
Groups 1 and 2 according to the Pressure Equipment Directive PED 97/23/EC, 1st and 2nd family gas according to EN 437, or other gases (compressed air, nitrogen). The gas must be non-corrosive, clean (filtration inlet side necessary) and dry.
