The Type K1000-K3000 is an axial-flow, single-stage, multifunctional pilot-operated regulator giving accurate and stable pressure control with high speed responses. Its usage varies from (networks) to (individual clients) and includes the following functions:

• Integral Slam-Shut Valve
• Incorporated Filter
• Noise Attenuation
• Flow Straightener

A novel design allows a turbine meter or rotary piston meter to be mounted directly onto the outlet flange of the regulating unit, while retaining full meter accuracy. The design of the Type K1000-K3000 multifunctional regulating unit is based on a Gas de France patent and has since been redesigned and innovated by Emerson Process Management Regulator Technologies engineering group to include the new slam-shut technology Type OS2 and the new Francel Piloting System. The Type K1000-K3000 is equipped with a flow straightener which allows it to be classified in the category of silent or low noise regulators.

The Type K1000 or K3000 are in confirmity with the Pressure Equipment Directive PED 97/23/EC and are classified in category IV.
